The position is to explore, secure and develop new business and collaborative opportunities in China for IFAW. And the successful job holder will strive to promote IFAW’s programs through various communication and marketing channels, and develop strong working relationships with business partners over long-term quality collaboration.

·       Drive and manage all aspects of new business development
·       Build and nurture strong, effective long-term relationship with potential and existing business partners, presenting a positive image of IFAW. Act as a contact between the corporates and IFAW.
·       Develop and maintain the database of business partners and stakeholders in China market.
·       Create and manage a framework to engage and work with business partners and key stakeholders.
·       Identify and pursue opportunities that can be developed and draw up a strategic plan to collaborate with business partners
·       Build and leverage the 3rd party relationships and partnerships to facilitate business collaboration opportunities
·       Participate in the negotiation with business partners and other collaborative organizations, and develop the relevant working documents
·       Develop business mode and plans with KPIs for business collaboration
·       Research and prospect new target audience that IFAW does not have existing communication and engagement with, and identify new target audience through an established view of long-term demand
·       Establish a thorough understand of target audience’s needs and develop effective and meaningful engaging activities with them
·       Work with Programs and Communication Team to develop solutions that will bring win-win result for IFAW and business partners
·       Provide day-to-day response to enquiries from representatives of the potential and existing business partners and acting as an advocate, where appropriate, for the organization.
·       Pull together internal resources and align teams to supports new initiatives
·       Track and update projects systematically to achieve quarterly and annual business development targets
·       Follow up and develop programs’ reports with identified goals and KPIs, and ensure these related information and documentation are posted to the IFAW portal as needed or requested.
·       Work with Communications Team to promote IFAW’s campaigns and projects in China.
·       Execute the creation, production, promotion, and distribution of materials as needed and requested to promote IFAW campaigns and business collaboration
·       Undertake other duties consistent with the post when required.

Job Requirements
·       Minimum five years’ experience of business development or equivalent experience in marketing and communication
·       Strong business sense to identify opportunities
·       A sound understanding of the business development , good at negotiation and planning
·       Excellent project management skills, strong coordination and communication skills and hands-on attitude.
·       Excellent organizational ability with attention to details.
·       Excellent time management skills and results-oriented
·       Self-motivated and able to work under high pressure and time limitation.
·       A team player, comfortable in a highly collaborative, team oriented culture
·       Commitment to animal welfare, enthusiasm in promoting IFAW’s values and an ability to act as an advocate for IFAW’s campaigns and mission.
·       Excellent writing and speaking abilities in both English and Chinese
