MDP Alum De Mel Completes a Final Evaluation of the Senegal Rural Roads Project

Randika De Mel (MDP’15) along with his team mates University of Minnesota alums Jordan McGurran (MA in OLPD - Evaluation Studies ‘17) and Elly Arganbright (MA in OLPD – CIDE ‘16) conducted a participatory, mixed methods summative evaluation of a United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) funded feeder roads project for Shelter For Life International (SFL) in the Casamance region of Senegal. SFL’s Senegal Rural Roads project aims to foster market-based agriculture in Senegal by improving access to agriculture markets through the rehabilitation of farmer-to-market feeder roads that connect rural villages to the major highway Route National 6 (RN6).
