The U.S. Department of State and the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board, in cooperation with the Institute of International Education, are pleased to announce the launch of the 2019-2020 Fulbright U.S. Student Program application. The Fulbright U.S. Student Program currently awards over 2,200 grants annually and operates in more than 140 countries worldwide.

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program selects participants through a competitive, merit-based application process, and offers several benefits during the period of the grant. These include funding for round-trip travel, living expenses for one academic year, and healthcare benefits. Find out how to get started.

The Fulbright Program is the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government and has provided more than 380,000 participants—chosen for their academic merit and leadership potential — with the opportunity to study, teach and conduct research, exchange ideas and contribute to finding solutions to shared international concerns.
