Consultant for Somalia action research work, Peace Direct

We are currently seeking a consultant to support action research work in Somalia. In Autumn 2018, Peace Direct will organise a civil society conference in Kismayo, Somalia. The consultation will generate a public report that highlights peacebuilding priorities in Kismayo.

We are seeking a consultant to support with preparation for the event and to produce a written policy report following the event. For this work we will require someone with proven expertise in Somalia as well as experience in writing policy reports on peacebuilding-related topics. Applicants must be fluent in spoken Somali and English and must have strong writing skills in English. Applicants with facilitation skills are particularly encouraged to apply. Somali applicants are particularly encouraged to apply.

The work will be paid based on a mutually agreed Terms of Reference. We anticipate around 15 – 20 days of work, to take place from mid-September to December 2018.
