From Global Minnesota: "Creating Global Classrooms:  In late September Global Minnesota kicked off    with a trip to Austin, Minnesota. Classroom Connection program

Humphrey School 2018-19 Humphrey International Law and Human Rights Fellow Bimal Poudel (Nepal) joined the program.

Bimal Poudel holds a bachelor degree in jurisprudence and criminal law from Tribhuvan University Nepal Law Campus and a master in Business and Trade Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam in the Netherlands. He is the Chief of Monitoring and Supervision as well as the Director of the Information Technology division of the Supreme Court of Nepal. Mr. Poudel has spent a large part of his career creating, implementing, and researching how policies and judgments in the judicial system are enforced, as lack of enforcement remains a great threat to the rule of law in Nepal. He has also contributed to judicial system reform in Nepal in areas such as court, case, record, and bench management. During his Fellowship year, Mr. Poudel would like to conduct research on federalism, judicial ethics, and court management processes. He believes that the information he gains will help him support the rule of law and judicial reform in Nepal. Mr. Poudel is also interested in learning more about alternative conflict resolution models like restorative justice.
